Joining forces with Lev Parnas as a co-founder of Tour America with Lev, award-winning producer/writer/broadcaster Snowden Bishop began her career in FM radio before venturing into television as a reporter and anchor for NBC Affiliates in Southern California and Missouri. She later held a variety of positions with media giants like CastleRock, Warner Bros., HBO, and EMI/Capitol Records where she worked with prolific film and music industry icons. She has since produced multiple independent films, documentaries, reality series, theatrical shows, concert series and streaming events.
Snowden has overseen programming, production and talent for major televised events, tours and festivals, and managed national tours and media junkets for authors and performers. Relevant highlights: U.S. Comedy Arts Festivals (HBO—5 runs), VH1 Ski Party Weekend (EMI/Capitol), GreenStock Concert Series & Expo, Life is Beautiful Festival live stream, White Trash Wins Lotto (HBO), and Casablanca: The Musical (Warner Bros.).
As a freelance journalist, Snowden has contributed to numerous newspapers and magazines. She is frequently tapped as a ghostwriter, content creator and editor for literary clients, and was editor-in-chief of AZGreen Magazine, Sustainability in Education, EVStreet, Friends of Africa Magazine and The Cannabis Reporter. In 2016, she returned to broadcasting as host of The Cannabis Reporter Radio Show, the first and only syndicated all-cannabis talk show with more than 130 episodes picked up by more than 400 stations nationwide.
She has been a juried member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, Association of Healthcare Journalists and the esteemed Climate Reality Leadership Corps, and is frequently invited to speak at events, moderate speaker panels, and provide commentary in media about environmental issues, African development, cannabis and politics. Deeply concerned about climate change, social injustice and the alarming rise of fascist religious extremism in America, Snowden devotes countless hours serving nonprofits, advocating for pro-democracy initiatives, and pursuing altruistic work projects aligned with her personal mission: to create a better world, one word at a time.
