Executive Producer Dan Kohn is a principal of PDM Group, Inc. where he serves as its Senior Vice President in charge of multiple aspects of operations, production and management. Dan’s early life experience as a youth prodigy actor in film, television and theater gave him a unique perspective of production and storytelling that continues to informs his creative sensibilities today.
Dan has performed in both on stage in live theater and on screen in television shows for networks like CBC and CBS. These experiences in entertainment were a prologue that prepared him for the next chapter of his career in communication and advertising. At Unified Graphics Group, he advanced his creative expertise for several years before stepping into a senior role at PDM Group, Inc. Since joining the company nearly 20 years ago, Dan has amassed significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects as a creative director. Known for his innovative promotional strategies, outside-of-the-box approach to public facing campaigns, and deep connection to leaders in his community, Dan is a sought-after consultant who advises clients in the realms of healthcare, e-commerce, real estate, community initiatives, political campaigns and public policy.
Dan yearned to pursue an American Dream and immigrated to North Carolina where he immediately assimilated into the close knit community he made his home. After a long journey to become a U.S. citizen was finally realized, he took an oath to defend his country in 2015 and took his community service and political organizing to the next level as a candidate for political office. Dan has founded multiple nonprofits, volunteered on multiple civic boards, and was nominated to lead executive boards and local government committees. He has also supported multiple campaigns of principled candidates as both a volunteer and staffer in varied capacity from canvassing neighborhoods to managing strategic comms. As Executive Producer of Tour America with Lev, Dan brings a unique level of experience that perfectly aligns with the mission when coupled with his deep understanding of ways every story can unite audiences of varied backgrounds. On a personal level, he is inspired to help facilitate shared human interactions to help transcend biases and misperceptions so prevalent in today’s polarizing political era.
